  • Hi,

There are a couple of reasons this can happen. Just to be clear – there is nothing in Meta Slider that limits the number of slides or slideshows you can have, the limit must be coming from somewhere else.

Try disabling plugins one by one until it starts working, if you’ve disabled all of them (except meta slider) then try switching your theme. A common cause is a theme setting that says something like “Posts to show on blogs page” or “Max posts to show in search results” – these sort of settings can be applied to Meta Slider too (but they shouldn’t be!)

    Regards,
    Tom.

    Hi there!

    Thank you for your support.

I tried to disable all the plugins but nothing happens… nor if I set my blog post limit to 100 and I’ve no limit on the search result…

Could it be some limitations on my php.ini?

    Hi andrea,

It’s unlikely it’ll be anything in your php.ini file.

Could you give me some more information about the problem?

Are you able to add more slides to your slideshow in Meta Slider at all? Or can you add them to the slideshow, but they don’t display on your site?

    Regards,
    Tom.

    Hi Matcha!

I cannot add more slideshows nor I cannot add more slides into a slideshow…

If I try to add one more slideshow I can see it on the backend if I click on save, if I click on save & preview it doesn’t show me nothing, just some social icons; then if I try to reload the page the just created slideshow just disappear.

If I try to add a slide into an existing slideshow it happens the same, I can see it in the backend, but not on preview nor on the fronted.
Then if I try to reload the backend page the slide disappear but if I try to add it once again the system report me “the slide is already inserted…”

    I don’t know how to fix it…
Your help will be really appreciated.
    Thanks indeed.

    Andrea

    Hi Andrea,

Could you try switching theme? The first step is to work out where the problem is coming from, it will either be your theme or plugins (but you’ve already disabled your plugins!)

    Regards,
    Tom

I had the same problem (my show stopped at 4 images though I had added til it was 14)and tried everything (short of a different theme cause I was almost done with the site).

This is what finally worked for me and it makes no sense at all.
I rearranged the order of the slides by making the last one that was showing (in the live slideshow) the last one in my order (in the admin for the slideshow)and Voila! they all showed up.

I think it has to do with the original import of images making the last imported the default last slide, which messes things up if you reorder (as I did, though I also added so its possibly the same issue exactly) or add (as andrea_montuori did).

    Hi all,

well I tried what you say richterworks (thanks for your suggestions!) but the problem is that I cannot see my last added image (so the 5th) in the ml slider administration, and if I try to add it once again the system report me “Failed to add slide. Slide already exists in slideshow.” but I still cannot see any new slider in the backend nor in the frontend…

Switch the theme it’s, for me, close to be impossible, since my website it’s managed by other 5 persons around the world, editing it everyday, posting articles on online journal so I cannot put it offline.

I’m starting to think that the only solution it’s change the slider, which it’s a sad solution because I really love ml slider…
