Maxbuttons background dissappeared

  • I discovered today that the Maxbuttons (Version 3.16.1) background had disappeared. In the button details it’s there and showing but on the page it is not. I accidentally activated the Pro version over the top of the standard version then deactivated it but still had the problem.

    I have now gone through all the buttons and changed the text to a colour, ie not white, and the wording is at least visible. I do have a strange vertical line above and below each piece of button text though.

    I’m using Responsive Child theme.
