MaxButtons not working in Block Editor

    Hello, I have been using the free version of MaxButtons with no problems (I love it!) but since upgrade to WP 5.0.3 and switching to Zita theme, I have been having trouble with the classic and block editors working properly. It seems I now have this sorted and am able to use the block editor (preferred) but I still have an ongoing issue with inserting MaxButtons.

    In the block editor, I can insert the buttons “Block” but then nothing happens when I click on “select button” on the right to select one of my pre-created buttons. It used to bring up a list of all my buttons. I can still insert a button by using the shortcode but I can’t use the inbuilt function in the Block Editor.

    Could this be a compatibility issue with Zita or WP?

    Normally it should work, so it’s some kind of issue. Can you see in the developer console (F12) if there is any error?

    Please try if you can to switch to some other theme than Zita and check if it works, then we know what’s causing it.

    I just tested it again on an existing page and a new. Both working! Maybe it was a zita theme prob which is now fixed…. Thanks for your response.
