I have enabled Maxbuttons’ WordPress social share function for the blog posts on my website. Unfortunately, it seems to only display the Twitter, Print, and Email options, but I have activated others like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Reddit. They don’t seem to be showing up at all. Any help?

    Thank you!

    Hi,

On the page you linked I see 6 icons, with the networks you mentioned.

That’s so strange. For me, it only shows up with the 3 options. Do you know why that might be?

Perhaps your browser caching? Try to reset that, or try a different browser. Maybe your site is making some diffence between logged-in users and not. Are you using some kind of adblock? Could also be that.

From here it doesn’t look like something the plugin is doing.

Did you manage to fix it?

Hey, sorry for the late reply.

Tried the fixes you suggested and it does seem to be related to the adblock function on my Chrome. Once I disabled it, it showed all of them.

I guess what concerns me is if other users have an adblock they will also experience the same issue. Any suggestions for a fix? I’m thinking of just adding a pop-up window disclaimer for each blog post to notify people, but that’s a back-up solution if there is a way to fix it directly.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Cheers.

There is no good answer for this. If a browser decides to block something, it can’t be helped. I’m not sure which adblock you are using, but the ones I’m using allow for social media mostly.

The plugin ticks very little boxes for the reasons people use adblocks. We don’t connect without interaction to remote servers, nor does the plugin move around user data or connect to any ad-networks. That’s as light-weight as it gets, but some trigger already if you have a link to a social network, which is the whole purpose of the plugin.

( If you site does one of these things, that might be a reason for the trigger as well ) .

Fair enough. I appreciate the response, thanks.

Hope you had a chance to take a look at MB Share Buttons version 1.

Could we ask you for a quick rating please?
