Maximum Layers

  • I would like to ask the maximum number of layers with which this extension works.
    For my project, I would have to display 13 separate layers and there is a layer in which 140-160 different color options are possible.
    In total, this means that the plugin should handle about 600-700 PNGs. Can this plugin do that? Is there any upper limit? How should it be optimized for better operation?

    Hi Greg,

    There isn’t technically a limit. 13 layers should not be a problem, unless if they all have hundreds of choices.
    The only risk with many layers is that the markup in the page becomes large, and needs more browser resource to render.

    But I’ve seen configurators with 1000+ images working fine.

    If you install the plugin, you can make a performance test by duplicating a choice which has an image as many times as you need, then duplicating the layer a few times.
