Maximum media file size (not upload file size)

  • There is a plethora of information about maximum upload file size. I want to know what the largest media file is that WordPress can handle. I have an 11.8 GB video file I have uploaded via FTP and attempted to get into the media library using the add for server plugin. The system seems to bomb out and server up and error page.

    So to be clear… this is NOT about max upload file size. I am trying to find out if there is a file size limit within WordPress. I want to use WordPress to steer people to a place where they can download large files.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
