MB breaks two things in classic editor…

  • About two weeks ago I noticed an issue in the classic editor, but I didn’t think anything of it till yesterday when I tried to make a new post on my site.

    The classic editor toolbar (where it shows bold/italics, etc) is totally missing. Also, the “Post/Page Options” box is there but no content inside. It took me a while to go through my plugins to find the culprit, but once I deactivated Meta Box, not only did the toolbar come back, but the “Post/Page Options” box completely disappeared. Once I re-activated the plugin, toolbar went away and the Post/Page Options box came back but still no content in it.

    Update: The theme I’m using is tied to Meta Box, and I gave the theme’s developer an update on what I discovered and said I found the problem, but he says MB isn’t the issue because he doesn’t have the problem on his end or any other user reporting it. So basically MB is one of two plugins causing the conflict, so now I have to go through my other 60 plugins on the site to see if any of them are having issues with MB. Please disregard for now.

    Update x2: Found the conflicting plugin, it’s “YOP Poll.” I will send them an email and see if I can get this fixed.
