Mobile App does not connect to Facebook App

When someone on a mobile phone gets the messenger pop up and clicks on it, it opens a new browser page and try to login into facebook that way. Most people on mobile devices are logged into the facebook app. Is there a way to have plugin connect with the facebook app???
