    Hi there

I tried to clean up images that are not being used anymore. I am running a real estate listing platform, hence there are thousands of old images that are not used anymore.

But Media Cleaner tags most of my active images as not found in content although they are used in the listing. For instance, all sliding images following the main image of all listings on the main page, get removed.

Also images used as dynamic category content images are being deleted.

Please advise me how I could usefully use this plugin.

    Thanks

    Hey @floripaolo ! ??

In many instances, Media Cleaner seamlessly integrates with a wide array of plugins, ensuring smooth operation on your website. However, there may arise situations where certain plugins have partial or no compatibility, leading to false positives. While the tool aids in media cleaning, exercise caution and verify scan results as they may not be flawless across all scenarios and setups.

Prior to taking any action, ensure you have a reliable backup. This is imperative. If overlooked, utilize the “undo” option in the trash to restore your media files.

If you encounter plugin incompatibility issues with unsupported plugins, you have the ability to use a regex filter if you want the scan to be specific in finding certain files or a file. Additionally, you have the option to select files after a scan and ignore them. This means that if it’s a false positive, it won’t show up again. You can also use your own logic to valide the usage status of file by using the following filter: add_filter( ‘wpmc_check_file’, function( $in_use, $file ) ).

    Thank you!
