• WordPress thinks the paragraphs/text in my media and text blocks are quotes and is publishing them with the bold line and giant quotation marks.

The text part of the block is definitely set to paragraph style. I’ve tried changing styles back and forth to see if that’ll reset it, but that hasn’t helped.

  • Could you show a link to the page where you can see this?

I’m not publishing them as they look bad, so no links to share…

The previews look like this, and with the big quotation marks that go with quote blocks.

Then, unfortunately, it is difficult to reproduce your concern. The assumption would be that the theme you are using specifies this style or that you are not using the original Media and Text Block but one of the plugins you are using.

It’s the original block, and previously worked okay with the theme.

    Hi!

First, I love the genre (horror) on the site. Second, one thing I am curious about is how you are creating that. I took a look at the link from the other topic and saw the page’s markup. I do see there is a blockquote that is wrapping a paragraph element.

Are you clicking Add block > Image. Or how are you doing that?

    Hi Jose. Thanks!

I’m clicking add block > media and text. This is supposed to look like text next to the image on desktop; on mobile it comes out as image first then text beneath. The default for text is paragraph but this is no longer working.
