I’m making yet another website. For some reason I can’t get media attachment pages to work. For some odd reason, in another WP in the same network using the same theme, media attachment pages work just fine. I’ve been playing with permalinks, re-upload files, etc., switched browsers, but the attachment pages keep reverting to the media file itself, not to the attachment page.

    Any ideas anyone?

The website isn’t public yet. Similar sites are under 3-5-7.nl. The theme is Suits by Theme Weaver, but switching themes makes no difference, plus, s mentioned, another website with the same does DOES do what I expect.

Also, if an image is uploaded to a page or directly to the media library makes no difference either.

Found it! Under network site settings there is an option “wp_attachment_pages_enabled” with apparently the default setting “0”. I changed it to “1” and it works.
