Media Button not working

    After upgrading to version 3.8.1, my media button is no longer working to insert images into posts.

    I can set a featured image and that seems to work.

    I reverted to 3.3.1 (and lost a bunch posts/pages/media that I was thankfully able to get restored back up through the week I did the upgrade, thanks to my hosting provider!) but the button is still not working.

    I have disabled several plug-ins and that hasn’t done anything.

    I am using WP-Clear theme.

    Any suggestions? Anyone have the same problem? Thanks! m

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
