    Love the plugin – I’ve got 100 or so pictures that I’ve added to categories. Filtering in media gallery works fine.
    however, when I add the gallery shortcode e.g. [gallery media_category="21"] it shows a random selection of other pictures, NOT just those from media cat ID 21.

    Can you recommend a tiled gallery plugin that works well with your plugin, as it looks like the default gallery shortcode is not working as it should. Thanks and keep up the great work.

    Hi Alex,

    (1) Have you made sure to activate the feature? See Settings > Media > Media Library (tab) > Media Shortcodes (section). If it’s activated then it’s most likely a conflict with another plugin or your theme. To find out which one, please deactivate them one by one until and let me know its name. To understand if it’s the theme or not, you have to temporarily replace it with one of WordPress “twenties”.

    Simple Lightbox
    Responsive Lightbox by dFactory
    Justified Gallery

    Yes it’s definitely activated. Must be a conflict, but will also try one of the plugins you recommend thanks for the speedy reply!
    While I have you the other think I was trying to do was bulk apply a tag to a set of images. I couldn’t find an obvious way of doing it in the plugin.
    Ideally, by shift selecting in the media library, or when bulk uploading.

    Then something affects post_gallery. The only way to know is deactivating plugins one by one and changing theme. Then we can work with the culprit. I’d like to fix this incompatibility, but I need more information.

    Right now, bulk edit is a PRO only feature.

    Thanks – you can close the ticket. The problem was with https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/tiled-gallery-carousel-without-jetpack/

    Works fine, but then activating that plugin messes up the categories. FYI in case it happens with someone else. thanks!

    Actually, you can make two plugins work together by replacing the line 52 from \tiled-gallery-carousel-without-jetpack\tiled-gallery.php with this one:
