• Hi

My WordPress install has an upload limit of 1Mb. I’ve asked the host to increase it, and he’s said that the php backend installation will allow more. He said he should’ve fixed it for me, and that none of the other installations on his servers have a problem. But mine still thinks 1Mb is it.

I’ve tried a couple of the hacks on here (modifying .htaccess and creating my own php.ini), but I can’t seem to get my WordPress installation to accept that it can upload larger files.

    Can anyone help?

  • WordPress picks up the maximum upload size from the server’s configuration (the php.ini file, IIRC). so you need to ask your hosts to have another look at this.

Make sure that your host talked about the settings in the file php.ini. Ask them to tell you what are the values for “upload_max_filesize” and “post_max_size”.

    Thanks, I’ve passed this on.
