Media Files are no longer indexing

    I had turned on “no index” for media files like image, pdf etc before an year but recently i had unchecked the box but still my media files are not indexing by Google.

    When i try to request indexing using Console it showing me the error called Blocked by robots.txt but there is no rules added by me in robots.txt file.

    So what is the solution of it?

    Hoping to get resolution from here.

    That sounds like a bug in Google Search Console.

    Offhand, I’d make sure that you’ve also disabled the “Redirect to parent post” setting and included Media in the XML Sitemap module.

    Hi @arnaudbroes Thanks for your reply,

    I had turned on the option “Redirect Attachments to Post Parent” and i am using Google XML Sitemap where there is no option to add Media in Sitemap module.

    And i am talking about Media URL not Attachment Page which creates automatically while uploading any image or file.
