Media files not reziing

  • Yes… WordPress automatically makes 3 different sized images NORMALLY.
    But for some reason it doesn’t seem to be doing that now.

    I will check with my server admin too if there’s been any changes.
    But at the moment I only get full size to chose from when I upload. Not thumb, medium and large.

    I’ve disabled JetPack and all other plugins as some threads in here suggested that could cause the problem . But no that didn’t take care of the problem.

    What can I tell my server admin to look for?

  • It’s possible that the GD extension for PHP is not installed or disabled on your server – this extension is responsible for handling image resizing, cropping, etc.

    Once that’s installed and Apache restarted, image resizing should begin to work.
