Media has disappeared with new update

WordPress just updated and all of my media is now gone. The images are still on the site (whew) but the media tab on the dashboard menu and the media option w/in posts are both gone. I have no access to the 100+ images that I have uploaded and I cannot upload new one’s as there is no longer a media option. Please help.
