• Hi Vladimir,

I’m still loving this plugin ??

I just created a new user type but there are two functions she can’t access and I can’t see how to give them to her.

The media library and ability to add images/etc is not showing in the menu nor if she tries to edit an existing image. She can create and publish pages so adding images would be very helpful! Can you please confirm the capabilities I need to assign the role for this?

The other is access to a plugin so I understand why it isn’t there by default. It is called ‘global content blocks’ and I’m happy for roles to have full or no access to it (ie no need to break it down to elements of the plugin). Is there a way I can add this please?

    Thanks,

    TashWord

    Hi TashWord,

    1) upload_files – key user capability capability for access to the Media Library and “Add Media” button, edit_posts, edit_others_posts, edit_published_posts may be required for edit media library items, as the ‘attachment’ post type is defined with ‘post’ capability type by default.

    2) “Global content blocks” plugin is not available at www.ads-software.com as “This plugin has been closed and is no longer available for download.”. I can say nothing about it.

    Thanks Vladimir.

The user has all 3 edit posts options selected already but she can’t see the media library or ability to upload anything. Any suggestions on what I need to do to fix this?

    Noted about the other plugin!

What about ‘upload_files’ capability? Is it granted?

Yes, upload_files and unfiltered_upload are both granted.

Try to disable all plugins and select WP default theme 2021, at the stage site copy if possible. Will it fix a problem? If Yes, activate plugins back one by one with a new test to isolate what plugin changes WordPress default behavior.

Thanks Vladimir, and sorry to to not reply for so long.

I disabled some plugins and reactivated them and it all worked properly so I don’t know what the issue was but you helped solve it, thanks!
