Media Library Delete Permanently function does not work

    Running the latest WP version. I have uploaded some images, but I cannot delete them via the dashboard. I can delete the image via the uploads folder (FTP) but the “Delete Permanently” link is not functioning. The “Delete Permanently” text is in red, while the text to its left is blue, and these do work.

    I downloaded the plugin Enhanced Media Library, and now functionality is restored, and media items can be deleted.
