• Hi!

For some reason, I can’t seem to get any of my images to show up in a media library. Also, I have tried uploading new images and get an error stating that “an error occurred in the upload-please try again later.” Everything else on WP seems to be working ok— i just can’t get into any media library to put on a page. When I go through the dashboard to view the media library, I see just the names of images and then the outline of images that look like an image online that hasn’t loaded yet.

Can someone please help me? Its been like this for me for two days now, and I don’t know what to do.

  • This is commonly caused by an over-aggressive configuration of your server’s mod_security module. Try asking your hosts about it.

    Hi @esmi!

I just reached out to them and they had me reset my settings. However, it didn’t solve the problem. When I try to add an image into a post or page, the circle just keeps spinning like it is trying to load the media library. Would you suggest, deleting everything and trying to completely reinstall wordpress? I would hate to do that because I am not that tech savvy and don’t want to lose any of my work. Also, the media library is the only thing that I don’t believe is working correctly.

Any advice you could give would be great.

    Thanks!
    Megan

You could try re-installing WordPress but I don’t think that this is a WordPress issue. It’s far more likely to be a server problem
