• Since the update of WordPress, when I go to the Media library to add or change an image, it never shows all the photos. You have to click the date and choose August 2021 for example and it shows only August, then back to Show All to see them all.

But when you first load it, it shows none.

This is only since the update. It is on two separate themes, both with WP Bakery freely installed.

    Hope you can help.

  • You can use this plugin to scan all files in the uploads directory and check which ones are actually present in the media library. It will help you import them to the database.

    Hope this helps!

Why do I need to import what is already there?

Having your website won’t really help.

I suspect if I used a default theme, it would still have the same issue.
It is not that the images are not there – it’s when you FIRST go to add an image from your library, it shows none. you have to trigger it with a date selection.

You never had to do that before.

My bad. I mistook your question from another thread where someone listed a similar issue after migrating his website. I am really very sorry.

This might very well be a theme or plugin conflict with the update. Did u try rolling back and checking?

This is occurring on multiple websites, with varying plugins, and two themes.

And has only occurred since the upgrade to the latest WordPress.

Before that, it is fine. run the update… and it happens.

This might be a release issue.
