• I have investigated and not found a clear answer on how to protect media library items using PP.
I found that I can block “Anonymous” from a library item, but still they get access to the file

How does it wprk or is this a premium feature?

    Thanks for clarification

Yes, that protection requires the PP File URL filter extension, which is provided as part of the Press Permit Pro package.

    Thanks for clarifying, Kevin.
Would it not be good to give a note in the media lib that settings only work with extra plugin? Or better, do not offer the panel at all, as none of the restrictions work, users can get the impression that they are safe.

I am still under years of shock, that such simple protection does not come out of the box by wordpress….

There is some value in blocking access to the attachment pages, since knowledge of the file url is not automatic. But yes, I will add a warning there in the next version.
