• Hi,

The Media Library Folders works perfectly for moving images uploaded in the media library (incl thumbnails automatically generated by WordPress). Media Library Folders also works perfectly when uploading the image in the new folder structure.”, then clicking sync after to generate the thumbnail sizes.

However, this doesn’t apply to Retina 2x (perfect images plugin) thumbnails. They remain in the standard WordPress folder structure when moving the main image. When uploading directly in the Media library Folder and clicking sync, the retina images are not generated, only the standard WordPress sizes are generated.

Does anyone know how to fix/work around this?

I’ve just tested the Perfect Images plugin. I see that it creates a set Retina 2x image files that ends with ‘@2x’. These files are not listed in the list of thumbnail files store for each image in the postmeta table which Media Library Folders uses when moving image files. The plugin does not have any code to detect or move Retina 2x images as this is not a standard feature of WordPress.

I would work better if an original image uploaded to the Media Library was a Retina 2x image. Then everything would work as expected.
