• All of my images in the media library appear as broken, but they are showing on my site perfectly fine for the most part. This just started happening today and any images that I uploaded today are fine. Any suggestions as to why this may be happening and how to fix it?

  • If you right click and inspect the element – is the image URL correct?
Can you open the URL in a new tab and access and view the file?

if I open it in a new window it shows just fine. its only in my media library

    These are always tricky.

    It could be an error
It could be a plugin creating conflicts
It could be a server related performance issue.
It could be a corrupt WP file.

    What I would do:

    1. Check /error_log and /wp-admin/error_log (via FTP) for any errors that may be showing.
    2. Try deactivating plugins to see if there is a conflict
    3. Go to Dashboard -> Updates and re-install the latest version of WordPress (overwrite files)
    4. Rename .htaccess to .htacess_BAK and then go into Permalinks and Save again.
    5. Download and install (over the top) the default theme you are using
