Media Library, large FTP file not populating

  • Hi,
    With the 8MB limit on WP uploads, I’ve gone around the barrier with FTP client and the large files reside in the wp/content folder, but I cannot figure out how to attach the file to a post.
    This particular file is a .pdf, which does not populate in the Media Library.

    Is there a script I can use within the .html on a post, to get the file to attach ?

  • Not sure if this will solve your problem or not, but it helped my Media Library see what I had been uploading via FTP. It added a lot of file types to my list but I wasn’t using PDF so your mileage may vary. There are other plugins that can get Media Library to work with PDF.
