• Hello Fellows,

    I have a very weird problem that is happening on WordPress Media Library:
    1- I upload a photo
    2- After finishing the upload, i see the thumbnail
    3- I navigate away from the media library
    4- When i try to use the photo that i just uploaded, i cannot find it. Even when i come back to the media library it is not there.
    5- If i go to Plugins DO NOTHING and come back to media library, the thumbnail shows up.

    The file is getting uploaded correctly into Uploads folder with the proper permissions.
    Note that it is not a browser issue or cache issue as tested from FF, Chrome, Safari and from various PC and tablets. It is only when i click on Plugins that the image shows up.

    It is really very weird!

    Any clue what the problem can be?

    Are you using any sort of caching plugin, or do you see a “Clear/Purge Cache” button in your Dashboard or admin bar? If so, would you please try clearing the cache?

    Hello,

    I am not running any such plugin.

    I have tried as well the folioing:
    1- Uploaded the file into the media library from one browser (Firefox)
    2- tried accessing the file in another browser (Chrome) and the file did not show up.
    3- I clicked on the plugins in Firefox and refreshed the page in Chrome and finally it showed up.

    Note that i tried refreshing the media library prior to clicking on Plugin, the file did not show up.

    I am getting really frustrated.

    Ok, and regardless of if you knowingly have a plugin or not, do you see a “Clear/Purge Cache” button in your Dashboard or admin bar?

    Also, who is your hosting provider, and are you using Cloudflare alongside your hosting provider?

    And, have you tried upgrading to WordPress 4.0.1? Did that make any difference?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your help and involvement.

    I am already WordPress 4.0.1 running The7 theme.

    The hosting is done on our company servers only.

    There is no clear/purge cache on the dashboard nor on the admin.

    Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fourteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
