Media Library – old images not shown/endless loading

  • I upgraded from 2.3.2 to 2.5 and have a problem with my media library: when accessing it via manage / media library, my browsers (IE+FF) don′t show any pictures but load infinitely. The number of the pictures on the other hand is shown correctly, eg Images(209).

    When I upload a new picture through “write post”, only this one is shown correctly via manage / media library (although my browser still tries to load my old pictures infinitely).

    Interesting is also that the old pictures are visible through the upload interface via “write post” / upload images-button / media-library. Here I see and select all pictures even from before the update to WP2.5.

    Does anyone have an idea, why my old pictures are not loaded in the media library? I already checked all the tips from the sticky note in this forum – no success ??

    My guess was, that the entry in wp_postmeta are not compatible. Here an entry for _wp_attachment_metadata from an “old” image:

    I also already deactivated all plugins – old pictures still were not shown.

    Any idea anyone?

  • I have a similar problem but slightly stranger.

    I can see all the images in my Manage media Library page one minute. then I add another image or two and they all fail to display.

    As mentioned above the Image (Count) is correct but there are no rows in the page and I cannot edit/delete any images.

    I can’t seem to pin this down to anything specific.

    Any ideas?
