• Hello There,

My audio player works great but has this bug:

I have verified the audio folder which is in
    https://www.loudat.com/audio
which is where I upload files >8MB via FTP. All fine.

When I go to insert the audio using the ADD AUDIO button, the MEDIA LIBRARY does not see the files in
    https://www.loudat.com/audio.
It does see the files that have been uploaded up WP Audio player which are in
    https://www.loudat.com/wp-content/uploads/year/date

The work around is to copy the URL from the files in
    https://www.loudat.com/audio
and use the [audio:] tags to reference them – this works fine but is a real pain, it would be so much better to be able to select the file from the audio folder using the media library…

I have tried making another audio folder in the WP-Content folder, verified it and still the only files seen in the Media Library that are those uploaded with WP Audio Player

Can anyone help? – any information would be much appreciated
    Many Thanks

The Media Library keeps its own catalogue of the files uploaded with the WordPress Uploader and any plugins that utilize the uploader, like Audio Player.

It does this so that it can keep track of any information that you want to attach to the file while uploading, like Title, Description, Caption, etc.

Unfortunately, the Media Library cannot keep track of files uploaded outside of the WordPress Uploader (via FTP, for example). To get around this, either manually enter the URL when using the file in a post, or re-upload the file using the WordPress Uploader.
