    Hi,

I can’t view any of my unattached images in my Media Library. They all have a redirect loop.
Obviously, I’d like to view the image (larger) to see if it’s something I might want to use.
I’m not sure when this problem started.
Is this a WP issue, plugin compatibility issue, cookies issue or other?

    Thanks
    Andrew

  • The first things to check are always… 1) Does it happen if you deactivate all plugins? 2) Does it happen if you switch to the default theme? 3) Does it happen if you set Permalinks to default?

    Hi,

I was away from my computer, apologies for the delay.
I did #1 above per your suggestion.
I deactivated all and then reactivated 1-by-1.

WordPress SEO (by Yoast) seems to be causing the problem.
    I triple-checked it (deactivating/activating).
I cannot ‘view’ an unattached media file (at full size) from the media library. I still get a redirect loop.

I contacted Yoast through his website and hopefully he will reply.
All my plugins/theme are up-to-date and I just had cleared my computer’s cookies and cache, so i think the plugin is/may be the problem.

It’s a great plugin, too, so I hope the problem can be fixed.

    Thanks
    Andrew

I seem to have answered my own question. I went through the WP SEO admin and deactivated the following feature:

‘Redirect attachment URL’s to parent post URL.’

The unattached media files open to full-size.
