Media Library won't load/Images won't attach

  • Hello,

    I recently updated to WP 4.4.2 running the Child Magazine Theme. Now, no images will attach themselves to the content I’m posting. I keep getting “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.” Also, my media library comes up empty now. It keeps searching for images but nothing comes up.

    I have deactivated/reactivated all the plugins and nothing has changed. I have also added a new media library plugin which made no difference.

    What can I do to get my images to attach to the articles I’m uploading and get my media library functioning again?

    I’m sorry this is happening. My suspicion in circumstances like this is that perhaps the update got corrupted. When you click the ‘Updates’ link, is there an option to reinstall WordPress?

    I think that would be the first thing I’d try. If that does not help, then I think my next action would be to switch to a different theme & see if the problem still occurs (or not).

    Hopefully that gave you some ideas. Please let us know the outcome and/or if you need additional help. Lastly, thank you *so* much for including your site url. That makes things so much easier.

    I went to North Lake college once for a vocal class. If you ever heard me sing, you’d probably wonder either why I wasted my money or didn’t get additional training, one or the other. I enjoyed my experience there.
