Media Library won’t show images

Was it working before? Which version of WordPress do you have?

Check the permissions for your uploads folder

Can you share the site address? Also did you move the site?

Ok. So I checked the permissions for wp-content/uploads and I have 0755 for all directories and subdirectories. And I have 0644 for all files.

I’m not sure if this was ever working before.

Running WP 4.9.8

I just tried uploading a couple test images, and the same issue with those.

The site was moved from an a previously obscure local/regional host to Bluehost.

It might be a bad server migration. Did you do the migration?

Yes. But I’ve also tried uploading new images post-migration with no success, if that makes a difference.

Ok, let’s try something:

Open the media library:

Check the path of the thumbnails (Right click on the thumb and inspect)

So here’s the path:

…Now when I go to /wp-content/uploads/ in my File Manager in cPanel, no such directory exists.

So we’ve found the problem.

Now…how to fix?

Did you upgrade WordPress before or after the migration?

Yeah that’s the problem.

I upgraded WordPress for sure after the migration. Not sure if I did that before or not.

That post doesn’t offer solutions though.

Is there any step-by-step process on what to check?

the url is transformed by your php-server.
he is transforming:

In case you are using apache, go to the sites-enabled files and try to find where the stuff is transformed.

I’m now having a similar problem, but when I go to “media” from the dashboard my images show, but at the base of the page I read “[Table ‘./wildlife_tour/wp_wfBlocks7’ is marked as crashed and should be repaired”

How do I do the repair?
