I’m trying to insert Media.net ad code into my site. Media.net asks for code to be inserted in the head and body tags. Can I do this by inserting both sets of code in the Ad Parameters section in the box designated: “Insert plain text or code into this field?” Or do I have to insert the head and body code in a different way to get it to work?

    Hi richards1052,

    thanks for reaching out.

Technically, you can do that, but I don’t know if media.net will work then. You can give it a try or reach out to their support first.

If you need to add head and body separately, then create two ads, one for the head and one for the body code. Then use the “head” placement in Advanced Ads to inject the head ad. When you use that placement, then it will place the code correctly.

Then place the body ad where you want, either manually or using another placement.

    Does that help?

So if I understood you, the code for the head and body tags will display two different sets of ads? As far as you know, is there any reason I need to have 2 sets of ads? Can I just create one set for either the head or body?

    Hi richards1052,

we might have a misunderstanding here.

The head and body code should only display one ad. The head code is responsible to load it and the body code to display it.

In order to inject the ad codes into different places, you need to create two ads in Advanced Ads and use two different placements.

If you want to differ from the implementation instructions given by media.net then rather ask them about it.

    Does that make sense?

    Best regards,
    Thomas
