Media not linking properly

    Hello!

    For some reason the media I’m uploading through WordPress is not linking properly, or playing in the media player. I have no other plugins installed that would be conflicting with this, and it’s a new issue I haven’t seen until today.

    It looks like the URL is pointing to /podcasts/random number/file.mp3 instead of wp-uploads/default wordpress settings/file.mp3.

    Why would it be doing that?

    Hi Adam,

    Not sure if you got help from our support docs or figured something out on your own but looks to be operating as expected now. Is that right?

    For reference the media file is linked to the name_of_the_post.mp3 and that redirects to the ultimate final destination of the media file. We do this so that you can gather your podcast stats regardless of hosting options. If you don’t have Seriously Simple Stats installed yet it might be worth checking out.
