I have three sites using sermon browser plugins. The two sites that are upgraded to WordPress 4.0 do not display the built in media player. The one still running WordPress 3.9.2 displays it fine. The two sites that do not display the media player are using essentially two different plugins (Sermon Browser 1 and Sermon Browser 2, but SB2 is so radically rewritten that it’s essentially a different plugin.) In both cases, other features of the sermon browser plugins work (i.e. file is available for download, titles and other details are present etc). The one thing wrong, so far as I can tell, is that the media player simply does not appear at all.

I’ve tried reinstalling WP 4.0 manually in case files got missed, have also disabled, deleted and then reinstalled the Sermon Browser 1 plugin. So far no luck.

Here are the two site that do not display the media player:

    https://stmarkreformed.com/media/ (Sermon Browser 1)
    https://tricitycovenant.com/message/audio-video/ (Sermon Browser 2)

And here is the working site with Sermon Browser 1, but only deploying WordPress 3.9.2:

    https://trinitytricities.com/sermons/

    Any ideas

I’ve also created an audio test page to bypass the sermon browser plugins altogether. Here it is: https://stmarkreformed.com/audio-test-page/

The media player shows up fine (and plays) in the WordPress back end, but it doesn’t show up on the front end page at all.

For what it’s worth, I also quickly checked that test page using both the WordPress Classic theme as well as 2014, and neither one of them displayed the media player either.
