Media Queries and Slider Titles

Hey, the Ascent theme is just about perfect for what I need, but i’m encountering a couple small but crucial issues. First off, do media queries work at all through the CSS editor? I haven’t really been able to get any code to work through it, and I need to be able to resize some things for mobile. Which brings me to the slider title – can this be made smaller on mobile devices? I have read a couple threads on here where the issue is supposedly handled, but yet no CSS seems to work in the editor for this theme, so none of those solutions seem to work. Is there something i’m missing? Is there another place to insert CSS? Let me know, and I’d be eternally grateful. Thanks!
