Media: Selected not opening popup

    Hello,

    I am attempting to create an On-Click Popup for a button located inside a widget – however the link is not working on the Media:Select.
    The item I am attempting to link is the “Request a Quote” button on the following page.

    Below are the steps I followed.
    1. Add Popup
    2. Conditions: Media Selection (I selected the media assigned)
    3. Assign; popup name, theme, display settings
    4. Trigger: Click Open
    5. Cookies: On Popup Open (1 month)
    6. Added the following code to the widget assigned to the aforementioned page

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Sorry you’re having difficulties, I’m sure we can this resolved.

    First, I don’t think that’s the Condition you’re looking for. You want to do Pages:Selected, not Media:Selected.

    In fact, if you want this popup to be available on other pages, you might consider not using Conditions and just removing them, or at least making sure you’ve added the pages you want the popup to be available on.

    Second, since the popup is a Click Trigger, and might be clicked at any time, multiple times, you don’t want to use any Cookies at all. Removing the Cookie should fix the issue.

    Thank you for your reply, Walter.
    I only want the popup to appear if the media is selected, not just for page visits. The reason is, if the visitor clicks out of the form, there is no way to return unless the page is refreshed. They won’t know to do that. Plus, I don’t want automatic popups on every page. Do you see what I am trying to accomplish?

    I think the Media: Selected Condition only applies to the default WordPress Media Pages generated when you click on a Media file.

    I’m not sure what you’re referring to when you say “the media is selected”, but the Media: Selected Condition if just for Media Pages.

    If it’s an On Click Trigger, then you need to make sure the popup is being loaded on all the pages that have the Trigger. This means setting Conditions appropriately.

    Last, if they have to refresh the page to return to wherever after closing the popup, then the popup isn’t being Triggered correctly.

    I would suggest just leaving the Conditions blank since it’s a Click Trigger.
