• Hi there, I feel I need some guidance here.

I have a massive Media Library, loads of images that belongs to different parts of my site. Some for news, some for shop etc. I have not found any media taxonomy plugin that fits my very simple needs, and I’ve tried over 20+ of them (ie almost everyone there is).

All I want to do is to tag my media items, and sort them by tags under the “Media Library”. Nothing more, nothing less. None of the plugins I’ve found do this. Most of them adds new tabs to the Media popup which breaks other plugins that depend on the Media Library, or just alters the Media Library when you view items in a regular page.

Can this be done somehow? I feel like it should be a very, very common request, yet I haven’t seen anyone talking about it.

I’ve used this plugin on a lot of site we’ve created… it’s a good way to create different photo galleries manually.

You should be able to filter by these tags in the admin backend on both the media library and media popup. Let me know if it works for you.

That one is close. However I can’t understand the need for that extra tab? (That is what breaks functionality of other my plugins, in this case “Advanced Custom Fields”). It shouldn’t be that hard keeping it in the Media Library.
