I am using redirection to create custom urls that link to PDF files in the media folder

    ^/locations/erik-mouse/line-card
    redirects to

    /wp-content/uploads/Erik-Mouse.pdf?utm_medium=redirect&utm_source=line-card

But I can’t figure out why my redirects are not showing up in Google. It should show up as direct traffic since its not a click event but I can’t find anything.

Can someone explain what I need to do to track these redirects in Google Analytics.

Show up how in Google? Will Google follow the link?

I’m sorry, that post is missing the word Analytics. It should have said “why my redirects are not showing up in Google.?Analytics”

Adding parameters to a URL doesn’t automatically mean that Google will pick it up. I believe this needs the GA script to run on the page. This is not something you can do on a PDF
