Hi,
after upgrading to WordPress 4.0, me and my other colleagues are running into few problems with the Media Uploader.
When we try to upload a normal .jpg file as into 3.9.2, we receive an error and the media page is spammed with tons of “null images” of that uploaded image.

I hope you can help me to find the problem, i thought it was a plugin called “Regenerate Thumbnails” but I’ve disabled it and the problems persists. I’ve also deleted my old part of code that creates custom sized thumbnails but the error is still there.

All plugins deactivated and http error persists on media upload

I had apostrophes in the file name. Removing that resolved my issue.

WP Smush.it & Use Google Libraries has been the culprit with my install of 4.0~ Deactivated one and it worked to a point, removed the other smooth as butter~

For those interested, I made a script that detects and deletes duplicates :

https://code.google.com/p/wp-delete-duplicates/source/browse/deleteDuplicates.php

To use it :

1) First configure the database access by inserting name of database, user, and password
2) Optional : If your wordpress database prefix is anything other than “wp_” (default value), run the function at the end of the script with the name of your posts table name as a parameter. Something like :

deleteDuplicates(“yourPrefix_posts”);

Else just run the function without.

@cod3r – Thanks a million for that script, cleared 3000+ duplicate images for me caused by this bug (WPML plugin for me)

Wtf is this ??? I update to 4.0 and no images? Tried disable every plugin and still grey pic/no pic when uploading… Resolving my ass! Maybe it shall say resolved when ITS RESOLVED??
