    Hi,

After upgrading to 3.3 my media uploader no longer works. If I go to add a new image, the dialog appears, but without the drag and drop function and if you go to click the select files button nothing happens.

After snooping around with firebug i get this error on the upload page: “Uncaught ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined” “load-scripts.php: 10”

I can also see that jQuery doesn’t seem to be loading which I presume is the error, but I have no idea why! I have tried the usuall deactivate all plugins etc with no luck.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

    Zef

  • Great point.

And, something’s definitely wrong with adding a link. I can see in the html that it removes the entire href=”https://example.com” string and in this way breaks the syntax.

@kmessinger: sure we can upload images by ftp. we can also make all our thumbnails in photoshop. I was doing this all day, every day, in the 1990s for various sites. the whole point of wordpress is that we don’t have to do such rote work anymore.

Also, images that are not cataloged in WP’s database are useless. The whole reason why we use a CMS is to keep our content organized, so excerpts can show up in listings with thumbnails, stories can have galleries and slideshows, etc.

Suggesting we just ftp our images is sort of like saying we can just build our sites with dreamweaver.

Yeah I can’t set a featured image for a post so my featured posts display now looks crap with missing imgages ??

OK folks. Post your own topics please.
