Media uploading problem

Hi there,

I have this problem: if I upload some media files to the library, the database crashes (db lost connection). I’ve found that the problem is not the file upload itself: uploading the files with ftp there is no problem, but the problem comes when I try to fetch the images and put them into the wp_postmeta data table (I used a plugin to find the files that I uploaded to the /upload folder) and put them in the media library.

Something is wrong in the script that puts the info in the database. The wp_postmeta table is allright, I have already checked it.

The problem grew bigger and bigger slowly in the past months. First the DB crashed seldom, now at every photo upload.
