Mediapress stops working

  • All my galleries have stopped working. All galleries say “There are no galleries available!”
    Media files are visible in the backend but not accessible in the from end.

    Clicking on an image from activity stream returns this message
    The privacy policy does not allow you to view this.

    Also using the upload shortcode on page returns this message
    “Sorry, you are not allowed to upload here.”
    Running WP4.52 with BP 2.52

    Can you please help me in understanding the cause.
    Is there any new plugin activated/installed recently or is there any code snippet that you have added recently?
    Any chance that you are using a multilingual plugin like wpml or similar?

    Yes I just installed a translation plugin. No I have not added any snippets. I have uninstalled and reinstalled media press but no change

    That makes it easy to understand.

    Please make sure that your translation plugin does not translate terms in the following taxonomy

    mpp-component
    mpp-status
    mpp-type

    The terms in these taxonomy are used for various internal purpose and translating them will cause issue.

    If you disable the translation of these taxonomies, The plugin should work fine.
    Please let me know how it goes.

    Hi,
    Can you please link me to the translation plugin? Is it freely available. if yes, I can quickly test it and see if it modified the terms in the database.

    As I explained above, we use terms slug to for flexible component/privacy management. Any change in the term slug will cause issue.

    Please point me and I will be able to assist better.

    I am sorry but I can not access that plugin. It is paid. Please mail me your site, temporary admin account and database details(The translation plugin has most probably renamed some terms, we need to restore them).
