mediaRSS link not sending

  • Hi, I have a Mail Chimp RSS to Email campaign set up from my site. This works fine except for the images contained within the nextgen gallery in a post. These images do not get sent via the RSS campaign.

    When I add a regular image into a post via WP’s Add Media button the image sends to the RSS campaign just fine.

    I have enabled the MediaRSS link option in Nextgen but nothing changes.

    These used to send via RSS just fine before the big V 2.0.0 upgrade so I guess it’s just another bug in the new machine. Has anyone else experienced this?

    @peacedog – We will be re-adding this functionality in a near future release … but I do not have a timeline on when that will be at the moment.

    @peacedog – You’re welcome. I know the commit has been made to the current branch but there are a lot of factors that go into a release and sometimes the current branch to not always the current release.

    I do expect it to be in the next significant release though … hopefully within the next few weeks at most.

    Hi Cais, just following up on this. Have installed the recent release but it appears to not address the mediaRSS issue. Do you have any more info on the timeline? I have a client who is getting impatient with me as images used to show in their feed but now don’t.

    @peacedog – Did you turn on the “Display galleries in feeds” option under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous?

    Also check to see if the HTML is being output to the feed …
