    Hi,

I have just upgraded to the latest version of Elements Kit (I had downgraded to an older version a while ago after an upgrade had completely messed up my mega menus!) and noticed the following when working on my mega menus:

When the position is set to “relative” the mega menu slides down nicely, but when I set the position to “default” it just drops a bit, but it’s higher than when set to “relative”.

I have created a mega menu specifically for use with tablets. In the Elementor “responsive” settings, this only shows for tablets. I had to create a separate WordPress Menu for this to have different Elements Kit mega menu settings. I had to choose both width and position as default to make it work, to cover the whole width and be centered. I tested this on my tablet and the strange thing is: when viewing in portrait the mega menu works as expected, but when I turn the tablet and view my page in landscape, there is no mega menu. When I click on the menu item it just acts as a regular link. Feel free to take a look: https://serendipity-dorsten.de/

I have to say, I am not too happy with the new width and position settings. It took some CSS fine tuning to make my mega menus work properly again after the update. Specifically the fact that the relative position automatically moves the mega menu to the right of the menu item, which is not practical for the rightmost menu item. The mega menu automatically moves off the screen, causing horizontal scrolling. It would be nice to have the option to have it also aligned to the other side or centered below the menu item.

    Hi @miss-newyork ,

I have tried Elementor’s Hello theme which is currently used by your website. From my inspection I have found that when selecting megamenu position default the megamenu is starting from some pixel higher than the postion relative. I have noted it down and hopefully it will be fixed in our future version.

For the positioning feature (absolute/relative) you need to understand that, sometimes you need to design the megamenu to start from the relative position the menu item starts. If you don’t need that or doesn’t go with your design you can select default. Inshort, choose the position as your requirement.

I have also checked your website for the tablet device and it seems the megamenu is not showing for the custom header for tablet. So, please open a support ticket at our support center. We will inspect the problem properly and let you know the update as soon as we can.

Waiting for your valuable response and we are always here to help you.

    Regards,
    Benjir
