megamenu mobile view

Good day
The mega menu, with max 6 columns, creates an issue when you add eg 8 main headings. on desktop you can simply place it under one of the 6 columns and space it out but the issue is that when on mobile the topics 7 to 8 are now “sub headings” instead of sitting on their own

to counter this I need mega menu to be a normal menu in mobile view.

Or – I need to be able to build a custom mobile menu only displayed on mobile – the issue is there are a lot of pages I then have to manually recreate

Is there a way to duplicate all menu items from one to the other and then simply disable mega menu in mobile?
Or… Is there a way to display a mega menu on desktop and a normal vertical menu in mobile?
