Member directory issues after 2.1 update

    Hi guys, since the 2.1 update we’re having some real problems with the directory. Firstly, the new search box is not really what we need or want. Before, we had a box for first name and last name. Using these inputs was much easier for our users. How to we get rid of the generic search and go back to first name and/or last name search boxes?

    Also the ajax performance is really bad. It’s taking 1.6 mins for the search to complete when searching for members. I’ve checked our server and wordpress settings and can see no reason for such a long ttfb response.

    Any help you can give would be deeply appreciated.

    Hi @garyjh28 – Could you please provide a list of active plugins and current theme installed on your site?

    Also, have you tried the latest 2.1.2 update that has followup fixes to the new Member Directory search filters?

    Hi @champsupertramp – thanks for getting back to be. We’ve had to go back to the previous version of UM for now. We’re setting up a clone so that we can test out the issues and will use the latest version on there. Just as a side note – this issue was happening when our other plugins were activated and also when all plugins were deactivated (with only UM left activated).

    If we get the same issues on the clone site, I’ll come back with a full list of plugins.
