Member Roles Not Working

    Good afternoon, I would like to ask about the Member roles. I have this issue that I wanted to let one of my SEO assistant for E-Commerce to post things for my website. I gave her an role for it to edit, add and delete for posts with Rank Math’s permissions. I also denied the permissions in User Section to avoid the assistant to delete or add people into wordpress. But once I denied it or leave it blank, the posts that my assistant edited, those changes are not saved, even she pressed saved. We also tested the role by allowing the permissions for user section, then my assistant only able to save their previous progress or changes they made.

    May I know is this a permission conflict that caused such problem?

    Could you please confirm that the posts that SEO assistant could edit, delete and add is regular WordPress post?

    Can you share the screenshots of all Users and Posts capabilities for this role so I’ll see if I can reproduce it?

    Hello! For SEO assistant, I have tried add and delete, it would work. Editing would work.

    But only for SEO Math part it does not work at all.

    Thank you for the screenshots.

    It looks like all Posts capabilities were granted.

    Can you confirm that SEO assistant role has access to regular posts? Is SEO Math is a Custom Post Type or some kind of meta section on regular posts/pages?

    Sorry for the late replies!

    They have the access on that from our side with the permission. I have no idea to explain to you but I have screenshot in the drive. From the 2nd image, it’s after I press the button of “9/100”

    It will appear the thing on the Rank Math SEO 2 jpeg. The one in red box will appear first, then to have the orange part, we will have to click “Edit Snippet”

    So I am not sure is this under custom type of posts.

    Thank you for the screenshots. I tried to reproduce this issue, and followed these steps:

    1. I created a new role and granted all capabilities from the Posts tab and all Rank Math capabilities so the ones that start with rank_math_. I didn’t grant capabilities in Users tab so they were empty.
    2. I logged in as user with new role and created new post.
    3. I clicked Rank Math icon (7/100) > Edit Snippet button.
    4. In Preview Snippet Editor I changed description and permalink and closed popup window.
    5. When I saved post or updated it, all changes were saved properly included modifications in Rank Math window.

    If it is still does not work, please reach out to Rank Math support to see if they could troubleshoot this.
