Members' area

Hi, this is probably really simple but I want to add an area to my site which is restricted to members — it would work like this:

1) User visits site and can view homepage
2) User clicks to view members’ area but needs to register
3) User fills in registration form
4) User can now view restricted area

Can anyone suggest a simple solution?
