Members can’t view profiles

    Hey,

    We have installed Ultimate member and created a directory, we made sure all users could see profiles of other members however, when in directory if logged in as anything other than admin you can’t view anyone’s profile.

    They show their image and name in the directory but when clicking on their name to see the profile itself it just takes you to the homepage.

    We don’t have any redirects anywhere or any caching plugins.

    Hi @redriteuk

    Did you check if your test account’s role settings have the “Can view other member profiles?” enabled? Please go to WP Admin > Ultimate Member > User Role > Edit a role > see “Profile Access” section.

    Hey,

    Yep as advised in my first post I made sure all members can view other members profiles.

    The checkbox for this under Profile Access is ticked. Yet only the admin can see the profiles.

    I even selected all the user roles in the ‘Can View These User Roles Only’ to test that it wasn’t because of a specific role and it still won’t work for anyone but the admin

    Did you try creating a new test account and see if your previous test account has issues viewing other profiles?

    Hey,

    Yep I had been using a pre-existing user account that I changed to the new user role. Then created a new user account under the user role and still the same issue.

    I even attempted switching users between some of the other users on the site and no one but the admin can see the profiles.

    Could you please check if your User/Profile page has UM Content Restriction enabled when you edit the page?

    Hey, No it doesn’t there is no restriction set on the profile page at all.

    Could you please provide screenshots of the User Role settings? The user role that is assigned to your test account that has the issue. You can upload the screenshot via imgur.com and then share the image URLs here so we can review them.

    I have the same issue – users are able to register and create their profiles.Each user can complete and see their own profile but not other members profiles (only the profile picture shows) and a message saying This user has not added any information to their profile yet even though they have. I hope this shed more lite on the issue.
    Please advise further?

    Could you please check if “Profile Privacy” is set to “Everyone” in the Account > Privacy tab using the account that has this issue?

    Thank you for your help thus far.. I have 3 additional user roles:
    Couple (um_couple)
    Single Male (um_single-male)
    Single Female (um_single-female)

    I also have 3 different registration forms for each role that all work.

    I have 3 different profile forms for each role and all registered users are able to login and edit their profiles/

    The issue I am having is that when a logged in user clicks on members, they can ONLY see members of the SAME user role.
    I have updated the users page with the relevant shortcodes of the 3 different profile forms .. but the issue persists
    Please advise?
