Members list / directory with extra fields

Hello,

This is my problem :

I’d like to have on a page a list of all the members of the site. The goal is to allow the members to contact the other.

In addition, I’d like to show details about the members. For example : location, profession, speciality, etc. All of personal datas or only a part. These data would come from profile, or better, from extra fields of the registration. I find this plugin “cimy-user-extra-fields” which allows to add fiels when a member do his registration.

Ideally, it wouldn’t be mandatarolly to re-register another time in the members directory like U need to do with the plugin “business directory“. This plugin is interesting, but when U are already registered on wordpress, U still need to re-register a second time in a special page which is a dynamic form. And only then, U appear on the members directory.

– My idea would be a plugin which would directly catch profile or registration datas (frome the database where they are written) and put automatically them in a kind of list/table.

– I find these two plugins :

– Members List : This plugin seems interesting, because it includes somes marked fields, if I have well understood, but I have difficulties to make it works. I will see that.

– Profiler : Not bad, because it provides a table with the members of the sites, but only with the name and email. The advantage is U can click on the name to directly access the member profile, but the table is a little simple.

Ideally, the best way in my opinion would be a directory which would do this :

– catch the profile’s fields (for one part or for the totality)
– do with theses datas a list or a table in a page
– would allow to show not only name and email, but also fields as “profession”, “speciality”, “location”, etc

And optionnaly :

– compatible with another plugin which would allow to add fields wile registration time like “cimy-user-extra-fields”
– would allow to click on then name to access detailled profile like profiler plugin

– And on the other hand, if there would be the possibility to make sorts of the members by geographical sectors or occupations, it would be the best. My goal is to combinate it with ” MapPress Easy Google Maps ” in order to add a map to the directory to show the locations of all the members.

This plugin uses the API of google and aready allows to zoom and to move on a map. The idea would be to see all the members or a sort of the members by profession, for example. To see who lives near you etc.

The author said me this doesn’t still exists but basically, I need a good members directory in order to try two combinate the two.
